But 8.5 is not quite big enough. I needed to get a size 9 instead. I normally wear 8, but in running shoes and I guess these boots, I needed a 9 not 8.5
They are really cute, comfortable women’s boots. They are warm and comfortable to wear. The bad news is that they have a strong chemical smell. I’m not sure what the source is but I think it’s the rubber soles. I bought a good quality spray that removes orders and it helped a lot. I left them outside in very cold weather and that helped too. The smell is mostly gone but not completely. I liked them enough to keep them. The smell is not strong enough anymore to be concerned but it took awhile to diminish it.
The boots fit perfectly, I did take a half size bigger for socks. Haven’t worn them yet, but they felt perfect when I tried them on..
Second pair of Rieker boots for my wife and she loves them, the way they feel especially, but also she loves the way they look.
I put obeo foot beds in from the walking store. I used these to travel to Switzerland. They were great walking through airports, a little hot on the plane but easy to get off and on. Also wore them hiking on the groomed snow trails with crampons all over the hiking trails of Zermatt. I wouldn’t recommend them for hiking on rocks, they were great for hiking on snow-covered trails. My feet were warm and comfortable the whole time
First of all, I love these Reiker shoes. They are my second pair in two years, but they have have a serious weakness. The " vegan leather" (plastic) falls apart and starts peeling in a few months. See photos.The pros--they're comfortable, easy to get on and off and are really stylish. My last pair lasted less than a year before the sole separated from the upper and then I had to throw them away. I was hoping the new pair would be better quality, but they are not. I got them in May and they were peeling by August.I love your shoes Reiker! Please make the quality equal to the price.
