Orthofeet Women's Alps Ankle Boot | Ortho-Cushion technology, waterproof, anatomical arch support | X-Wide |
Dr. Scholl's Women's Ankle Boot | Memory foam insole, water-resistant | Wide |
The Orthofeet Women's Alps Ankle Boot stands out thanks to its thoughtful design aimed at providing maximum comfort for sensitive feet. The incorporation of Ortho-Cushion technology plays a significant role in alleviating common issues such as foot and heel pain, making these boots especially valuable for individuals who spend long hours on their feet.
One notable feature is the waterproof construction, which ensures your feet stay dry during inclement weather. Coupled with the stylish faux-fur accent, these boots do not compromise on aesthetic appeal. The hidden zipper along with the bungee closure allows for a snug fit, accommodating various foot shapes and sizes.
Inside, the soft, padded fabric lining minimizes any potential irritation, ensuring a comfortable experience throughout the day. Additionally, the unique wide toe box design gives ample room for swollen feet without compromising style or function. One of the standout aspects of this boot is the premium orthotic insoles, engineered to provide exceptional anatomical arch support, promoting better alignment of the body posture.
On the downside, if you are looking for a sleeker profile boot, you might find these a tad bulkier than conventional ankle boots. Also, the selection of colors is limited, focusing primarily on neutral tones which may not appeal to everyone.

I’m a true 7, but I decided to go up a half size and do a wide width because I like to wear heavy/thicker socks with snow boots. I am glad I did. These boots are so comfortable and warm. They have a wider toe box. The arch support is very comfortable. There is traction on the bottom and I don’t slide on ice. I especially like that I don’t have to re-lace every time I put these boots on - there is an invisible zipper on the inside ankle. Makes easy on and off. The boots are also waterproof and I have had no issues with wet socks. Also they are very lightweight. They took a while to get here, but it was middle of winter in Chicago. I just might get another pair to squirrel away.
Nice apiarance, nice color, ComfortableRecimanded
I love these winter boots and I comment on their great fit each time I put them on. Seem waterproof and warm. I have room for extra thick socks if I choose. Because you can lace them up the front and on top of your foot and have side zippers, they actually fit like a winter boot should. They fit my feet better than I expected. 5 Stars +
Shoe is great, it comes with different sized insoles you can add, arch supports you can choose to add as well. Our feet are not identical and they give you the tools to build up the shoe as needed for comfort or even without they are very comfortableBrilliant idea with sending all the extra gear for shoes, I know I’m not the only one struggling to get through the day pain free. Brava! Also waterproof!
I have high arches and had high hopes for these boots, because of the included inserts and possibilities. However, the boots are not very comfortable at all. The included inserts did not work for me. I tried a variety of things to get the proper fit, but to no avail. I ended up using my Dr. Scholls arch inserts which do work well for me and not using any of the orthofoot product inserts with the boots. Of course that begs the question of purchasing expensive boots that do not meet my goal when my Merrill boots with Dr. Scholls arch inserts cost less and fit better (and look better). The boots might work for some feet, but not for mine.
I like the boots and I’ve decided to keep them
Warm and comfortable size correct. I work on concrete floors all day and my feet don't hurt when I get home.
