When it comes to winter footwear, the Northside Women's Kayla Snow Shoe stands out for several reasons. Firstly, its waterproof design allows you to venture out into snowy terrains without worrying about soaking your socks. This is particularly beneficial for anyone who spends time outdoors during harsh winter months.
The insulation provided by the 200 grams of Thinsulate is impressive; it ensures that even in sub-zero temperatures, your feet remain warm and comfortable. The flex twin goring at the entry further aids in achieving a secure fit, which is crucial when navigating through deep snow or slippery surfaces.
One notable feature is the removable EVA insole, which not only adds an extra layer of cushioning but can also be washed to maintain hygiene. Additionally, the heel pull strap makes it convenient to slip the boots on and off, catering to your active lifestyle.
However, there are some cons worth mentioning. While the shoes are stylish, the limited color options might not appeal to everyone. Furthermore, expect a slight break-in period, as the boots may feel stiff initially.
Overall, if you're looking for reliable and stylish winter footwear that provides both comfort and functionality, the Northside Women's Kayla Snow Shoe is definitely worth considering.

This is a replacement pair for an old pair that finally bit the dust. I LOVE this snow show. It's super durable with waterproof on the outside and a nice, warm, soft inner. Comfortable. Snug at the ankle to keep water and snow out. I love to wear them on errand days as they are easy to slip off in the hallway without having to worry about needing hands to fuss with zippers or laces. These were offered in whole sizes, no half sizes. I normally wear a 9 to a 9.5 so I ordered the 9. A bit small, especially if you wear thick wool socks with them. I should have ordered a size 10. Not too bad though, so I will keep them but if you wear 9.5 in women's and have a wide foot, you may want to go with size 10. Overall awesome low boot, especially for the price.
I ordered up a size 8 at seller suggestion and boots fit my wide, size 7.5 foot well. Waterproof, warm, and reasonably priced. My 5 stars do have a caveat: they are not super easy to slip into, and they have a tendency to pull socks down. For a 1-mile walk they are great, but I wouldn’t plan to walk all day in them. The men’s model is lower rise, so easier to kick on. In the past I had men’s size 7. They were slightly roomy (and did tend to pull my socks off) on my women’s 7.5 foot, but I wore them for 2-3 years until they failed at the seams. Soles were still like new. For a relatively inexpensive boot, I have no complaints.
I wanted to like these so bad. They look warm and comfortable. However, the gore doesn't stretch ... at all. They are very stiff and difficult to put on. When I tried to put them on, the heel folds down inside the shoe. I do not wear a wide width shoe, so this was a real bummer. Sending them back.
I purchased the gingerbread colored shoes, and they are exactly like the picture. The shoes look well crafted. They are true to size. I'm able to wear my athletic ankle socks and it doesn't feel crowded. I tried them on with a pair of fleece socks and it fits well, not too cramped. However, it has a plush fleece lining so I don't think anyone would want to go any thicker on the sock. It keeps my feet well insulated and dry (I tried them out today as soon as I got them, and it has been a very rainy day). It is easy to slip on and off for use. The soles are true to description and give great traction. Overall the shoe feels thick (like a good hiking shoe). You could put in a sole insert, but if its a thick insert, you may want to go a size larger to give yourself some room. I didn't put one in, I've been using the shoes as is.My only gripe is the over-fleecing along the mouth of the shoe. It can get wet. So if you wanna pair this with some fleece leggings, it might get damp on a heavy rainy day.
I usually wear a size 8-8 1/2. I bought a size 8 and they fit perfectly. I have a high arch which made these difficult to put on. I ended up having to cut them a little bit on the inside so I could get them on. They make me feel safe walking on snow and ice and they keep my feet very warm. The boots are very heavy, and not very pretty. I bought these to feel safe walking across the slippery parking lot at work. I take them off as soon as I get to my office. They are too heavy to walk around in for too long.
This is my third pair. I need something heavy and waterproof for gardening; it must be low-cut in back so my Achilles tendinitis won't flare up. They are a little roomy; I have to wear two pairs of socks, plus I always use insoles. However, the resulting fit is perfect and my feet are well cushioned. With heavy use, these boots last me about 2 years.
This sole is hard and doesn't bend well when you walk. I could also feel the mold pattern of the insole with my foot inside of the shoe. I had to buy a third-party insole insert from my local pharmacy to make insole more comfortable. I ended up just using these in the backyard to pickup after my dog in the snow. Not comfortable enough for me to wear every day
I did not expect to love these shoes as much as I do. For such a low price, I figured I was buying something I would just make do with for one season. I'm happy to be wrong! From the first minute I stepped into these shoes, they felt like slippers. They're comfortable to walk in (not clunky), and even comfortable to go shopping in. They've kept my feet dry in recent storms where I've had to walk through lots of slush. I work in a building that stays cold all winter, and my feet stay numb, but not with these shoes! I am toasty warm, and so comfy I forget to take them off when I get home. I highly recommend these shoes.
