Thankfully Amazon FINALLY SELLS THIS GRT BOOT IN A SZ 11, so all of the poor ppl who COULDN'T FIT INTO THE SZ 10's CAN FINALLY COMFORTABLY WEAR THIS BEAUTIFUL GENUINE LEATHER BOOT. I am THRILLED they FINALLY began selling this in a sz 11, as generally speaking, unfortunately, most NM BOOTS RUN 1/2 TO 1 FULL SZ SMALLER THAN TRUE TO SIZE.(I am basing this fact on my personal experience w/owning more than a dozen pairs of NM Ankle boots in sz 10, other sizes may vary, I can only speak for ppl who're a true sz 10) THIS PREVENTED PPL W/SZ 10 FEET FROM EVER BEING ABLE TO COMFORTABLY WEAR THIS AWESOME BOOT, UNLESS THEY HAD THEM PROFESSIONALLY STRETCHED & ONLY WORE PEDS/PANTYHOSE. I recommend ordering 1 FULL Size up. I wish these came in a sz 11, but only go up to sz 10. Many ppl say they run true to sz, so maybe it's possible it's only the pair I bought, but i suggest to order at LEAST 1/2 SIZE UP. Hope this is helpful, as these are REALLY Awesome ankle boots.
I normally wear a size 8 but took an 8.5 based on reviews and they fit fine. I have a very narrow foot, so that's not an issue for me as it is for some people. I get tons of compliments and they are really cute, nice made, and comfortable. glad I took the leap of faith and bought them!
I loved these boots, but had to send them back because they were too small (by about an inch). They are beautiful and well made. The leather is amazing! Amazon has changed the price for a different size and that $10.00 was enough to squelch another sale this late in the season. I am disappointed.
These are some of the most adorable boots I've encountered in a while. They were made in India instead of China. I love the Victorian-esk look, and the leather has very uniform stitching and detail. I can't believe I picked these up for only $32. If you can grab these for under $60, get them. They do not look or feel cheap in any way. My favorite brand for a high heeled boot has been Frye for comfort, height and simple classic style. Naughty Monkey is a fun brand that offers good quality and style at an affordable price (I've gotten all of my Naughty Monkey shoes on sale). The foot bed and insole, I find very comfortable for a heeled boot.I am a 6.5M in boots 99% of the time (I only go up or down, when a shoe is known to run small or large...and even then, I usually only change sizing if manufacturer or seller announces the size difference -or- careful reading observing of reviews with issues similar to mine). In open toe/open back, low heeled strapless sandals, I usually wear a 6M. My foot is normal width with high arch and narrow heel. The length of this boot is perfect for a 6.5, and the width is also perfect. --I honestly don't understand how people need to go up a half to whole size in these, unless they have a wide and thick foot or wearing super thick socks. My narrow heel does slip a little in these, but wearing a goldtoe sock (between thin and medium weight) helps remedy this. --Going down a half size won't work, since it would shorten the foot bed (which is perfect for me as is). I won't be wearing these everyday, like my Frye boots, but I will enjoy utilizing these within my wardrobe. I should be comfortable for up to 5 hours (or more) in these. (in Frye, I can wear a 3+ heel for 8-10+ hours, but they are expensive)The only flaw I noticed in these Naughty Monkey boots... some of the fringe under the leather detailing needed spread on either side, away from center. (the center has almost 3 sections that appear meant to be without fringe...looks best when parted). --This I don't really consider a flaw, since it was too simple to spread the fringe over on each side (no cutting or removing).I have thin ankles to calves, so these boots are perfect for using with leggings or skinny jeans. --I have more than enough room to do this comfortably. If you have thick ankles to calves, this may not work as well for tucking pants in. The zipper is somewhat hidden by leather flaps...the flaps match uniformly and do cover the actual zipper, but the zipper pull will show. This should work for wearing with some skirts or dresses too.I definitely recommend these boots to anyone on the fence. Ignore going up a size, unless you are accommodating for a wide or thick foot, will be wearing extra thick (sports or wool socks) or you need to add special inserts. The sizing is very accurate for average width. This "swing low ankle bootie" is worth it...beautiful, unique and classy...and looks far more expensive than what I paid
I read the reviews so ordered larger than I wear, 8 to a 9. These were so small and narrow I gave them to my daughter who has a smaller narrower foot, she wears a size 7.5. They were even tight on her but she is going to try them. It’s a bit ridiculous! What kind of a size guide do these manufacturers use?!?!?! Get it together!
I knew these would be on the small side from previous review. I wear 8 and ordered 81/2. They are snug but will stretch. I have worn them once and found them to be comfortable to walk in. They are very high quality and a unique style. Love these! I bought the taupe color-it is better characterized as brown with a gray tone.
They look great. They will feel a bit snug when you first wear them but they stretch and will feel just right after about 2 to 3 wears.
Beautiful, quality boot but runs small and tight!! I wear a 9 1/2, so purchased the 10 based on reviews and it's still tight. Not so much in length, but in width. This is a tight, narrow boot. I figured going up a half size would do the trick, but it didn't. I think people who have narrow feet should size up 1/2 size, and people with average feet should size up 1 full size if you can (I couldn't because they don't make 10 1/2). Anyway hope this helps others :)
