LOVE THESE came two days early! Yes, they're real Hunter boots, not knock-off's, I was a bit worried buying from a random company on amazon! But this company is fully legit!!! I wanted waterproof rain boots because I live in the city of Chicago, where weather is about as reliable as Donald Trump saying something nice about someone who is not a white man, so not at all, all winter its rain, snow, rain, wind, snow, slush....people its nasty here in the fall, winter, and spring. The search for water proof boots began....such a long journey!! So I have wide calves and regular hunter boots don't work for me and I didn't like any of the color selections that Hunter is currently offering of the Chelsea boot, so my search on Amazon began!! Found these lovely Hunter Chelsea boots in my favorite forest green color, which is more blue than green, they're a bit darker than in the picture but they're simply beautiful. As you may have read in other reviews about this boot, the ankle part is very difficult to get on. I believe this is, for me, because I have a high instep and wider ankles so no pull on boot is ever super easy for me to pull on! But they do stretch at the ankle, the elastic gussets stretch at least one and a half inches each You really have to shove and pull and I worked up a sweat putting them on. If you don't have to take them on and off 10 times a day they should be great!! Socks make this better, didn't think to put socks on when I first tried them on also, socks also make them super easy to get off! The foot part of the boot is A LOT wider than I expected, which is awesome for me, wide feet over here! Also great if you want thick socks of just room to stretch your toes, as my mom always says "You should be able to stretch out your toes in shoes so you can concentrate!" They do smell, like chemicals, all part of the off-gasing of plastic boots I think I read somewhere, apparently wearing them and getting them dirty will stop that, but just take them out of the box let them air!! I am super excited about these boots and cannot wait for the first monsoon like day in Chicago which should be in about three weeks maybe sooner, who the hell knows it could be in the next 5 minutes in which case I will be taking myself outside to jump in some puddles, hopefully I don't drown!! Anyways, sorry for the long review, I like to be super detailed so people with questions can have answers!! Order these boots! They're beautiful!!!
These boots are a little tight when first slipping them on, the elastic around the ankle is Good, and a nice fit once on! The important thing is that I’m able to drive while wearing them as opposed to the long boot-which restricted my range of foot motion. Love them, comfortable to wear & I can walk all over in the PNW rain, we have a lot of it in Seattle! They’re cute to wear all day long at the office -no more ruining my nice expensive shoes on a rainy day, these work incredibly well!

Def don't be like me and not check reviews on them first :( Style wise these boots are the absolute cutest! They look so good with jeans or leggings. Unfortunately this style of boot tends to have a very narrow opening. That is great for keeping the boot secure on foot but it cuts into the back and sides of my ankles when wearing them. AFAIK I have an average size ankle but I def have to wear long socks and bandaids so they do not rub my skin raw. The things I do for fashion! That being said i do love them but for me, personally, they are not boots I would go hiking in or walking long distances, etc.
I did not think these were going to work. I wanted to be able to wear them without socks and based on other reviews I gathered that wasn’t going to be possible but wanted to give them a try. I wore them the first time without socks and as others have said, I ended up with irritated places on my ankles. But I really wanted these to work - the tall boots don’t look good on my wide calves and the mid-calf boots hit the wrong place on me b/c I’m short. So, I wore these with thin crew socks and they are great! The height of the boots hit my ankle skinny jeans perfectly without the socks showing. The boots are comfortable. We’ve had a rainy winter and I’ve worn them numerous times.
Boots have fallen apart and are unwearable, water seeps inside. The customer service has been AWFUL, 2 year warranty is supposed to be guaranteed, and they are refusing to replace or refund me. DO NOT BUY OR WASTE YOUR TIME!
