I don’t normally write a review unless I feel it’s worth it! If you’ve been on the fence about ordering these boots, Just Do it!! You won’t be disappointed!!! This boot is so worth the money. I normally wear a 7 1/2-8. I ordered an 8 according to others reviews and it fit perfectly. Size up 1/2 size from your normal size for the proper/ comfortable fit. They are definitely made for a narrow foot, which I have, so they again fit perfect. The bottom of the boot is stiffer, with a great bottom and the top of the boot is softer & flexible. The leather is high quality with hydro shield (waterproof) and stitching is 100% spot on. The inside has a great ortho feel, thick, cushiony bottom. These are beautiful boots!! They are not shiny and have the patina look. They give that versatile vibe. The combat look, the dressy look for dresses, the perfect look for skinny jeans, leggings and wide leg jeans. These will go with everything!!Hard to find the perfect boot for all looks but this one has it!I ordered these for a trip to London in November and they checked all the boxes for what I was looking for. Black, comfortable, flexible, waterproof, good for walking and style. ✅The good news is again these will go with all outfits and I won’t have to overpack shoes!!Hope this helps!!
Like others, I bought these to replace my old worn out Bethany boots. I bought my original Bethany's in a 7.5 to wear in the summer with a thin sock. I needed these in an 8.5, but I could wear thicker socks with them. I live in the Pacific NW where it rains 9 months out of the year, and their being waterproof is a real advantage. The sole is stiffer than the Bethany, they're a beefier boot in general, but still extremely comfortable. Some people think a side zip is "cheating", but I love the ease of on and off, and being able to set and forget the laces. The olive ones are even more beautiful in person than they are in pictures. I'm in love with the look. So excited to get a ton use out of them this fall!
I read many reviews and almost didn’t purchase them. I also almost sized up, but I’m very thankful I didn’t. I find these are extremely comfortable and fit true to size. I don’t think they are narrow in the toe box. I have a normal width foot, size 7. I bought regular size 7 and they are a perfect fit. Lots of cushion and arch support. I like them so much I’m ordering another color.
Got the wide in 8.5 (I am either 8 or 8.5) based on other reviews. Length wise they’re perfect. Heel is perfect and they’re comfortable. Now width wise, far too wide. Exchanged for my usual 8.5 and they are absolutely perfect. I wear them 8 hours on my feet and walk around 3 miles a day.
Like some other reviewers have mentioned, I've been trying to replace my Cobb Hill Bethany boots and these seemed to be similar. The style is super cute and the quality is great. I was really excited to find that the leather is sort of a velvety, matte finish - not exactly nubuck (like my Bethanys), but not shiny leather. I usually wear an 8 1/2 but ordered a 9. They were really hard to get on and super narrow right around the widest part of my foot (where the rivets are). The soles are also way clunkier and less flexible than the ones on the Bethanys. Too expensive to take a chance on whether they will break in and be comfortable. Unfortunately, I'm returning them (and won't get a refund for 14 days - FYI).
Love these boots! So comfortable! Comfort and cushioning under the foot like a sneaker, but with a great boot look, solid support, and a very comfortable heel - so easy to walk in! I loved the original Bethany boots and wore them out - then tried the Allessia and they were way too rigid for me - I almost gave up hope, but I thought I’d try the brand one last time to see if anything could meet the comfort of the original Bethany boot - these really do fit the bill - I’m so thrilled to have found my favorite boot again!
This brand has always been my go-to for comfortable shoes. However these boots are simply not comfortable. My feet are wide in the toebox so my options for shoes are VERY limited. They do hold up against water and the color is great. It goes with everything!I got these for a trip to Scotland in August. I planned to wear them most and brought one pair of backups. I spent some time breaking them in before I went, used a shoe stretcher and still stubbornly wore them all through the trip. We walked everwhere! Within an hour of leaving the apartment, my feet were throbbing.I continued to wear them in hopes that one day they would finally give way to the shape of my foot. It's January and they STILL hurt.Ar this point, I believe it has more to do with the cushion in the sole than the structure of the shoe. Overall these adorable boots are a big loss.Very disappointed.
Nice boot - but the material was stiff and a bit unflexible
