Featuring a convenient zip fastening, slipping these boots on and off becomes a breeze, which is particularly beneficial for those busy days when you're constantly on the move. The Clarks Women's Layton Star Ankle Boot stands out not only for its aesthetics but also for its practicality. The soft praline suede upper feels luxurious against the skin and wraps around your feet comfortably. The faux-shearling lining adds an extra layer of warmth, making these boots an ideal choice for winter outings.
One of the main highlights of the Layton Star is its ultimate comfort footbed. Made from 5mm PU foam, it gently cradles your feet, providing shock absorption that is essential for those who spend long hours walking or standing. This feature can make a significant difference during long winter walks or daily errands, preventing foot fatigue.
The zip closure is another thoughtful design element, allowing for a hassle-free wearing experience. Unlike traditional lace-up boots, zippers offer quick adjustability, enabling you to slip into them swiftly. However, while they are designed for ease, the overall fit may vary based on individual foot shapes; thus, trying them on before purchasing might be wise.
In terms of style versatility, the Clarks Layton Star pairs well with both casual and slightly dressier attire, making it a flexible addition to your wardrobe. Its neutral praline hue complements various color palettes, ensuring you won't face difficulty coordinating with your outfits.
On the downside, while the boots deliver in comfort and style, their sole material primarily composed of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) may limit their durability in rugged terrains. Additionally, although stylish, they aren't fully waterproof, so they might not be the best option for wet conditions. Overall, if you're searching for a chic, comfortable winter boot for urban settings, the Clarks Women's Layton Star would be a worthy contender.

I am very picky about shoes! I won’t wear anything uncomfortable. I did buy the 8.5 wide in these. I don’t think I needed the wide, but it does provide extra comfort. I wear these all day long. I am prone to planter fasciitis so I have to wear the right shoes.
Happy with these booties. Comfy and warm -- but not hot, thankfully. Wide width is sufficient.
It's comfortable but runs big.
It is beautifully made but fits much smaller than size. I order my regular size 8 I would have preferred an 8.5 due to winter socks etc. However there were no 8W or 8.5 available. So I bought a size 8 and my foot could not fit into the boot. You may need to buy a bigger size than you usual size!
Love these booties. They look just a little funky and are very comfortable.
I needed nice shoes that I could wear at work that were supportive for a lot of standing, but also warm for the winter time. I wear these every day, and I love them!
Love the booties
Everything I thought they would be
