I LOVE these boots!! I bought these and a different style of the Clark’s brand and I love, love, love both pairs! I love boots, ankle boots etc and these are wonderful!! No I don’t work for Clark’s nor was I paid by anyone to rave about Clark’s — though I doubt very much anyone would need to be paid to give them an excellent review. I’m just giving an honest opinion.I’ve worn Clark’s since I was back in high school and I’ve always loved how they look, feel everything about them!! To me they are a great shoe/boot company!!They are very stylish, very comfortable, warm, I love the dark brown... I bought them a half size bigger than I normally wear so I can wear them with a thicker sock in the colder months... they fit well even without a thicker sock.I highly recommend these boots!! Stylish, very warm, very comfortable... and they are real leather. It’s difficult finding real leather boots at a reasonable price and these were at a very reasonable price. Both pairs were. Plus the sole was sewn not glued on — there is a difference, even a good boot if ithe sole is glued on it can open up. These look like they will last me a long, long time!!
I don't ever write reviews, but I feel that these deserve all the praises in the world. I have owned them for months now, walked all over rainy Washington and Oregon, have been in the light snow, and they just get more comfortable by the day. I'm very picky with my shoes and I had been searching for an affordable pair of waterproof leather boots for months, so I couldn't believe it when I found these boots, and they're made by Clark's, no less! The moment I slipped my feet into these babies, I felt like I was walking on clouds, no breaking-in required. The leather is buttery soft, but with good structure; the zippers make them extremely easy to put on and off, but they are also very discreet so they don't look like a cheap pair of zipped up boots ( I personally don't like zipped-up boots because they look cheap, but these do not). They are lined inside, so I mostly wear them with thin socks or regular socks and feel that they fit true to size, but if you plan on wearing boots socks or hiking socks, definitely size up 1/2 size. The style is just AMAZING. Don't hesitate, just but them already!
This definitely a winter boot. I didn't know that it came lined with the same berber fleece type stuff as an Ugg. So for cold weather it should be good. I work in a place where we wear boots all day long but I won't be able to wear these all year long, it is not an all year round boot and gets really toasty which will come in handy next Chicago winter. I bought these to replace a pair of Rockport/Cobb Hill Carie style boots that got ruined. Both boots were comfortable, but this one more so than the Rockport. Unlike the Rockport, it fits as a medium width should and still has a nice toe bed. It doesn't look like it has much ankle support but it does. Each has it's pros and cons on looks but on structure I would say this one also exceeds what you get in the Rockport. Both are waterproof but the leather here is thicker. Its a good boot for the winter.
These are NOT waterproof at all! If looking for something really warm for chilly winter like in Wisconsin, these ARE NOT the ones you should buy!, but are good looking!
Very pleased with these boots. They are highly functional and good looking. Great fit, not too loose at heel and plenty of toe room. They took a couple months to break in. (At least 8-10 wearings.) I do not wear them with thick socks, and would prefer a leather lining instead of the pile lining, but they are plenty warm for cold weather and although they didn't seem to breathe well the first several wearings, this has improved significantly as they've broken in. Good value, not the cheapest but a fair price. My last pair of Clarks lasted several years and these seem to be at least as sturdy if not more so.
Had to send them back. They did not fit as expected.
I've had these boots for two years, and I love them so much I bought a backup pair in case anything should ever happen to them. I searched for a long time to find combat style boots that wouldn't make my feet look huge, and weren't an awkward ankle height. They have plenty of room in the toebox, and I can wear them all day at a service industry job where I'm on my feet with no problem. Love the side zip also, makes taking them in and off much less of a chore. (Especially helpful of you need to take them off for airport security). And you can't beat Clarks for quality.
These boots are good looking, extremely warm and comfortable. The only draw back is that, unlike most Clarks shoes, they do not have much arch support and I have to put insoles in them. Anyway, I'm extremely happy with them. In brutally cold temperatures, with a pair of good wool socks, my feet wouldn't feel freezing. I'm a person whose toes are always freezing in winter and can get frost bites easily. With these boots, I'm all well.
