Fit is as expected. I have had custom boots made for me & did an extensive measuring process & was sized as a true 10 D medium. These did not disappoint in the fit or any other area. Toe comes just over the rounded seam on top leaving around an inch maybe a little less to end of " outside " of boot, but the important part is that the widest part of my foot is on the widest part of the sole. Toes come in a variety of lengths & I was told what's important is where widest part of foot is at. The shape of the toe of a shoe or boot has something to do with where your toes end up. It varies. Width is perfect not to tight or loose but after worn a while & leather stretches a bit they should still be good, allowing for tick or thin socks. The style of this boot already has co-workers asking what brand it is & where did I get them? They are a perfect combination of casual & casual dress. Look great with jeans or docker type slacks. Comfort? Oh yeah! Has a great removable ortho-lite insert with arch & heel support and inside lining. Quality leather looks great and has a slip resistant sole for winter or summer. Love the black on black stitching & silver speed hooks. The black color is like a black matte with a little sheen. Have worn 3 days now & zero break in pain so far & probably most comfortable boot I own out of 11 pairs of mostly Clarks, 2 other Bostonian boots & some Trasks. Only other pair more comfortable is the custom made boots I have. Out of the shoes & boots I own these will probably get worn the most due to comfort etc. These mid boots get 5 stars all the way!
I was looking for a good pair of black casual boots and came upon these Bostonian brand boots. They had the classic style I was looking for and they were actually made of leather (yes - real leather) which seems to be a thing of the past. So many men's shoes and boots are constructed of "man-made" materials, so when I found these great looking boots for the same (or even less) price than the lesser quality ones, I jumped to purchase them. Depending on the manufacturer, my shoes size can range from 10M to 11M. I decided to go with the 10 and they fit perfectly. I've only worn them once since receiving them a few weeks ago but they were comfortable right out of the box. They are very well made and you can smell the leather. Great boot, great deal, and I highly recommend. Just save me a 10 because I might buy another pair.
Very high quality boot: thick, excellent leather and quality stitching. The “beeswax leather” scratches very easily (from previous experience) so I polished with neutral polish and buffed them before wearing to a very sloppy restaurant job. The waxy polish mostly protected the leather. Servers/restaurant industry workers: the slip resistant soles are only passable on wet floors, offering moderate safety. They are most definitely NOT oil resistant and I slid around the kitchen every time I went in sadly. However, the ankle support and quality footbed were excellent for a 7 hour shift/six miles/40 flights. I’ll wear them to work until they wear out, but wouldn’t order again for the restaurant job.
Quality was perfect.
The quality is great on this model but the styling is lacking. Nice heavy-duty rubber soles. Unfortunately I had to return because they did not look very stylish on me. Bulky look. These shoes run a little large. I normally wear a 10 in most brands. I ordered both size 9 and 9.5. They both fit odd. The size 9 did fit length wise but felt tight overall. The 9.5 was too loose in the back heel area. I have ordered about 10 pairs of these Bostonian shoes and they are hit and miss on quality. All said and done, I have ended up with a few nice quality - nice fitting pairs from this manufacturer. -Which is owned by Clark's.
The shoes were well made, but they should be listed as men's shoes. Then they could be brought accordingly.
This is an extremely well made and comfortable boot. I’ve had them for a couple months now and they’ve held up nicely. I walk 5-6 miles a day with them and have no discomfort. The only thing I would mention is that they do run large. Normally I wear a size 9.5 or a 9, but these I had to buy in a size 8.5. I tried them on at a store before buying, so just keep that in mind. Otherwise, it’s a stylish and quality boot, and I’ve received many compliments on them.
Quality boot. Bought 10.5 size fit perfect. Usually wear 10.5 or 11 depending on brand. Very supportive and comfortable, a little bit heavy. Overall a very good boot. I liked them so much I bought in black too.
