Gorgeous boot, deep chocolate color, very comfy foot bed. I am an 8.5 and bought that size, it fits perfectly but know that the boot is quite narrow at the widest part of the foot, so I wear a very thin sock with it, almost as thin as pantyhose. When we think of boots we tend to think of wearing thicker socks with them, but this boot fits like an 8.5 shoe, which you wouldn’t wear a thick sock with, right?The top stitching also gives the illusion that your foot is narrower than it is, which if you have wider feet and want this, it’s a bonus design feature (I have another pair of Bed-Stu that does not have this stitching, the front is ‘clean’ across, and my feet look wider).If you are wider through the span of your foot, maybe go up a half-size to allow more room for your foot to spread out. Either way, wearing a popsock works best with this boot.I got the chocolate, which has some color variation. Not enough to be eye-catching, but the different pieces of leather have a very slight color variance. If this bothers you a good brown boot polish would probably even it out. I like the natural variation, which is only slight; it makes the boots looks handmade and expensive.Really comfy, very stylish, and very feminine boot. Great deal, Amazon.
Nice boots! I knew they'd be slick, but let me just reiterate: They are SLICK!! I tried on and walked on carpeting, purposely trying to slide - worked like ice-skating! (Not the heel, though.) [When I wore them outside, however, they aren't slippery at all! No problems whatsoever! Very comfortable boot - wore on tile floor and outside everywhere, no slipping.] They are nice, snug fit, but I generally wear thick(er) socks. I usually wear an 8 or 8.5, and I purchased 8.5 in these. They fit snug, but not uncomfortable -- with thick(er) socks, mind you. When they stretch out a bit, which I'm sure they'll do, I may need to add an insole or cushion, but right now they're great! [After wearing once, I learned that they stretch easily, and I would've been fine with the 8. I don't mind the 8.5, either, but FYI if you're between sizes like me.]
They are quality. My issue is that the 9 I ordered was about the size of a 6, so I exchanged them for a 10 & they are too big, even with socks. I couldn't find a size anywhere on the boots or box for the 9, so they may have actually sent the wrong size.But the size 10s came with a white stitching that the size 9s didn't have, nor do the pictures have white stitching on the black boots. I've added a picture - to note, there was a lot of dust on the boots, but it wiped right off.I don't like the look with the white stitching, plus being too big, so I'm returning.They smell so good, though. Man I love real leather. And the style is nice & they were actually pretty comfortable to walk around in (5 minutes around the house, so not the best judge of comfort here...), despite the high heel.I'm bummed they aren't as pictured, but happy Amazon's so wonderful at returns.

There is nothing I don't like about these boots! I purchased these boots hoping the photos were accurate and trusting the reviews. I am certainly glad I did. These booties are absolutely gorgeous and the quality is awesome as well! Scrumptious leather! Yes they have a high heel so be aware of that. They are super versatile and go with ANY outfit. These boots definitely punch up any outfit.
I ordered a half size larger, based on the reviews of other Bed Stu boots, and they are roomy enough to wear socks with now. Sizing up may not be necessary for these boots.The leather is amazingly soft, and I get a lot of compliments when I wear them.The only problem (which may be a big one), hence the 3 stars, is that when I first received them and went to try them on, the decorative buckle on one boot immediately ripped out from the seam. I considered sending them back for a new pair but decided to just cut the other end of the buckle off. The boots are beautiful with or without the buckle so it wasn't a huge deal for me. For $200+ you'd think the buckle would be securely sewn in, but I don't even want to send them in for return because I want to wear them all the time!So...they are beautiful, just be easy on the buckle when putting them on!
Bed Stu always runs small, so although I usually wear a size 7, I ordered a 7.5, and I'm glad I did. They fit beautifully! The color is a darker brown than I had been expecting, but I find that I love them even more in the darker shade. I'm so happy with these boots! Now to find some kind of traction addition to put on the bottom so I can actually walk on carpet!
